People with high self-esteem do not behave in an antisocial manner. They are not overly dramatic and they also do not feel like the world revolves around them. The low self-esteem manifests itself in the various characteristics displayed by people with these personality disorders and surprisingly, manner of the characteristics are the same.
We all have our own interpretation of what is considered normal behavior. For the most part, most people agree on the type of behavior that people should display. Everyone has their own quirks and idiosyncrasies and some people may not be familiar with the three personality disorders discussed here, yet they know when a person's behavior is different than what society considers normal. None of the three personality types is normal. They may seem like three separate personality types, and they are. Some traits are similar in all three, but they are acted out differently among the three different personalities.
Individuals displaying any of the three personalities behave in a manner that attracts attention that many would consider unwelcome. The person with the antisocial personality disorder may shun others and keep to himself, yet he is prone to behave or commit acts of violence that if caught, will definitely draw attention to him. Serial killers are a perfect example of someone who has an antisocial personality disorder. Jeffrey Dahmer can be considered a sociopath, but as mentioned earlier many people with (ASPD) are also considered sociopaths. He was a loner and seemed quiet, yet he tortured and killed young men in his apartment. He didn't seem to want any attention, yet he performed heinous acts that would definitely get him noticed and declared infamous.
